For years, my wife
and I have taken time off from our jobs to "work" on cruise
ships. We were on the Celebrity Constellation from 12/27/03 until
1/17/04 in the Caribbean. I got to spend my birthday in the
Dominican Republic and was able to meet up with Major Jenny Peña (Section
5). She and her driver/bodyguard, Orlando Frias, met us at the ship
and were absolutely delightful. They couldn't have been more
gracious hosts or better representatives of their country. We
returned a week later and were able to arrange for Jenny and Orlando to
meet us on board and take a tour of the ship (complete with martinis!)
A sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to Major Peña, Sergeant Frias, and everyone else who made our visit so perfect! |

Altos de Chavón is a recreated 16th century stone village built by artists, high on top of a mountain, overlooking the Chavón River. | This is the spectacular 5000-seat Grecian-style amphitheater at Altos de Chavón where concerts are often held. |
